Our Technicians

Our registered technicians perform a wide variety of important tasks. They draw blood, place catheters, take x-rays, and monitor anesthetized patients among many other responsibilities. All have gone to school and passed state and national exams to become registered technicians. Above all, they offer lots of tender loving care and attention to our patients.

Isabella

Isabella grew up with her family in Hendersonville, NC. Her compassion for animals helped direct her educational path to attend AB-Tech’s Veterinary Medical Technology program.  While learning to care for those animals who need it, Isabella also grew to have compassion for owners who are really looking for aid for their babies. She has an infectious laugh, which can brighten anyone’s day. Isabella always strives to learn more and figure out better and newer ways to help both people and pets.

In her spare time, Isabella loves to spend time with her family and friends. She has fallen in love with WNC since she spent her whole life here, but is looking forward to traveling and expanding her horizons. Isabella loves to make pencil sketches of friends, pets and family. Isabella finds peace while she tends to her garden of vegetables, herbs and flowers at home.

Jen, R.V.T., Inventory Manager

Jen graduated from Indiana State University in 1992 with her B.S. in Business Management. After realizing that her heart was not in that field, she returned to school and received her degree in Veterinary Technology from Purdue University in 1994. She had been working as a Registered Veterinary Technician since graduating when she decided to move to Western North Carolina with her husband in 2005, which is when she joined the team at CSAH. She continues to find fulfillment working with animals and has become a member of the NCVRC (North Carolina Veterinary Response Corp).

In her free time, she loves spending time with her husband and animals and walking her 4 wonderful dogs, Brutus, Izzy, Bud, and Kali. She also enjoys photography, boating, and ATV riding. She is affectionately known at CSAH as "Super Tech."

Leah, R.V.T.

An Asheville native, Leah is proud to call the Blue Ridge Mountains her life-long home.  She is a 2012 graduate of AB Tech's Veterinary Medical Technology Program.  After completing a program in high school to earn her CNA and exploring the human side of medicine, she quickly realized her true passion was elsewhere.  Leah has always had a special place in her heart for all creatures.  She entered the field of veterinary medicine to help all animals, create a voice for the creatures who cannot speak for themselves, and share with their humans the importance of veterinary care. The doctors and staff of CSAH were delighted for Leah to continue working at CSAH, having appreciated her bright, caring personality and excellent skills during her summer internship at our hospital. Outside of work, this charismatic and talented tech loves spending time with her friends and family, embarking on adventures of many kinds and enjoying life.  Leah shares her home and her heart with her 3 cats: Stavi, Lilith, and Mr. Meeks; and her handsome Boerboel Mastiff puppy named Bane.
