Rainbow Bridge

Rainbow Bridge

"Just this side of heaven lies the Rainbow Bridge.  When a beloved pet dies, it goes to the Rainbow Bridge.  It makes friends with other animals and frolics over rolling hills and peaceful lush meadows of green.  Our pets do not thirst or hunger.  The old and sick become young once more; the maimed and the ill become healed and strong.  They are as healthy and playful as we remember them in the days gone by. Though happy and content, they still miss someone very special, someone they had to leave behind.  Together, the animals chase and play, but the day comes when a pet will suddenly stop and look into the distance... bright eyes intent, eager body quivering.  Suddenly recognizing you, your pet bounds quickly across the green fields and into your embrace.  You celebrate in joyous reunion.  You will never again separate.  Happy tears and kisses are warm and plentiful; your hands caress the face you missed.  You look once more into the loving eyes of your pet and know that you never really parted.  You realize that though out of sight, your love had been remembered, and now, you cross the Rainbow Bridge together."

A thought about our beloved companions:
"Pets teach us to live in the now,
to enjoy life as it comes to us,
and to love without asking questions.
They teach us what’s most important in life..."
...and it’s heartbreaking when they
have to leave us.

In honor of Reilly, Lauronda donated a website to CSAH. She originally designed this page to offer encouragement and support to our CSAH extended family. We will honor our cherished patients on this pet memorial page.

Inez wasn't my favorite cat in all the world, however I'll miss her more than any other I'll ever have again.

Tuxedo

Unknown (Est. 2001) ~ December 16, 2013

Tuxedo was a fabulous pet, who came to us as a stray 9 years ago.  We don't know how he came to be homeless, but he decided our home was where he wanted to live.  A friend once told me that when a cat chooses your home, it is because there is a lot of love there.  That's a beautiful thought...and Tuxedo added to the love in our home.  He was so gentle and affectionate, never showing aggression to any one.  He greeted us at the door with his avid vocalizations and followed us everywhere.  He would even come when called.  Sometimes I think he was part dog.  We never had a cat before and never thought one could wrap themselves around our hearts...but he did and he will be missed.  When it was time to make that difficult decision to say our final goodbyes, Dr. Peters came to our home to gently and humanely put Tux to rest.  He passed in dignity and comfort in his favorite spot by our fireplace.  No stress, no fear, no more pain.  Rest in peace, little friend.  We will catch up with you again on the other side of the Rainbow.
